Fantastic family fun at Finlaystone Country Park

Enjoy a great day out – all year round

Finlaystone Country Park is growing in popularity as a fun destination for all the family – and no wonder.

The Langbank estate has spectacular views across the Firth of Clyde and offers a fabulous family day out – all year round.

It boasts imaginative play areas, woodland walks, picnic areas and BBQ sites along with colourful gardens and tumbling waterfalls.

There’s always a host of  events and activities to enjoy plus a tearoom, shop and visitor centre.

You can also rent holiday flats or rooms for craft stalls, conferences, children’s parties or other events.

Finlaystone is also a popular destination for schools and nurseries and – and if you enjoy the world of nature and are keen to volunteer you are very welcome to assist in the gardens or woodlands.

There are many great new additions to the list of activities at Finlaystone Country Park this 2015 season.

Children will love the newly-designed and exciting fort with a hidden tunnel and jail.

Why not come along and take part in the first Cowboy and Indians Fun Day with the jailbreak of Jesse James in the activity area?

From the April 1, the park team will be starting to build a bespoke falconry centre allowing families to walk through the centre and view the birds of prey.

There will be hunting demonstrations and handling opportunities. It’s the only Falconry Centre in Inverclyde – so come along and see it for yourself.

The centre is set to open from mid-May.

The park is famous for its eye-catching play areas – and there’s more to come.

The team are also building a replica Boeing 747 in the play area.

Come aboard to play or take over the cockpit and pretend you are the Captain!.

All play areas are included in admission.

The Garden Café is open on school holidays, bank holidays and weekends 10am – 5pm on weekdays and 11am – 4pm on weekends.

Check the park’s website  – or Facebook page for up to date details and events.
