If you have already looked you will know it all seems so complicated. How to get there? Where to stay? The best plan for days at Disney World or Universal?
Your family deserve to have a perfect holiday, of course they do. You work hard, save up, and this time is so precious you want it to go well.
But how can you be sure it’s going to?
Simple – you ask someone who knows. Hazel Kirkland and her family have been running Florida Select Villas for 14 years. They pride themselves on finding exactly the right accommodation for the guests who don’t want to settle for “allocated on arrival” accommodation.
“It’s not a claim I make lightly,” said Hazel. “I have handpicked every home on our books so I’d rather have a chat with someone about exactly what they want and in many cases what they don’t want if they have previously been disappointed.”
This approach pays off, Hazel with her retired policeman husband David have an enviable rate of 40 per cent repeat business and many referral enquiries.
Florida Select Villas currently offers around 400 properties in Florida, mainly in Orlando near the attractions, and on the Gulf Coast. They range from townhouses and condos to seven-bedroom villas with private pools and game rooms.
“One of the biggest differences clients find with booking through Florida Select Villas is they know exactly what they will find when they get there. Many companies allocate accommodation on arrival and we understand how that can cause a lot of anxiety.
“Often people come to us after being allocated somewhere they don’t want to stay or the home just didn’t meet their expectations.
“We’ve taken the time to get to know our clients and learn what they want on holiday. One size fits all is not a recipe for an excellent break,” she added.
Dealing with Florida Select Villas is a very simple process. After a chat with Hazel, she will suggest three or four properties she believes will fit the bill. All you have to do is decide which one.
“But we don’t just deal with families wanting a two-week summer break. We have quite a few ‘snow bird’ clients who travel south in the winter.
“The phrase was coined to refer to retired North Americans who migrate south for the winter, but we have some – including a couple from Fife who go out for eight weeks.”
At £23 per night in a luxury pool home with spa, who can blame them?
Both keen golfers, Hazel and David have a wealth of advice about the Florida courses, including how to get a good value round.
“What’s special about us is that we offer friendly service and are always on the end of the phone,” explained Hazel.
“We go the extra mile to make sure people are happy. The attention to detail and extra touches such as late check-outs, birthday cakes and champagne on arrival are all part of the service.
The logical progression to renting a holiday home in Florida is buying one. And Hazel and her team can help here too.
With years of experience in the market, she can assist with every aspect of the process from locating the perfect property, financing, and support with rental income on an on-going basis. With a typical four-bed villa currently available from £80,000 it is no wonder that many people are realising their dream of owning a pool home in the sun.
“Some people want a property as an investment or a second home. Whatever they are after, with our knowledge, contacts and experience, we can help,” added Hazel.
“Whether buying or renting, we are very proud of the fact that so many people come back to us again and again, we must be doing something right.”
